BARBARA HAYES FEGAN
“BUNNY”
Barbara Hayes Fegan, 82, a lifelong area resident, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 28, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Fegan was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Chevy Chase, MD. She attended Blessed Sacrament School, Georgetown Visitation Convent and the University of Maryland. She later moved to North Bethesda, MD., where she sang in two choirs and was a cantor at Holy Cross Church. She was also a member of The Rockville Community Chorus and The Rockville Singers. She occasionally sang for the residents at Carriage Hill Home in Bethesda, and was a guest reader for the kindergarten class at Holy Cross School. Mrs. Fegan was a co-founder of the Holy Cross Lunch Bunch, and had been a member of the former Holy Cross Players Theater Group, as well as a school volunteer.
Survivors include her husband James of 59 years, three daughters, Sandra Falatko, Linda Spiker, Sharon Giuliani, two sons, James G. Fegan, Jr. and Michael C. Fegan, 24 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Charles David Hayes, and one sister, Joan Hayes Custalow.
Relatives and friends may call at Holy Cross Church, 4900 Strathmore Avenue, Garrett Park, MD, on Monday, August 1, beginning at 9:30 a.m. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Angelina V. Barbagallo (Age 93)
On Monday, July 25, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved daugther of the late Rosaria and Salvatore Barbagallo; sister of the late Thomas and Carmelo Barbagallo; also survived by sister-in-law Louise Barbagallo, niece Adele (Bradley) Jones, nephew Raymond Barbagallo, great nieces and nephews Victoria, Taylor and the late Brandon; one great great nephew Leland Sackett Jones, cousin Frank Scandone and cousins living in Italy. Rosa Aguilar Rinonos (Age 74)
On Monday, July 25, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of Alberto Rinonos; mother of David Rinonos and Gloria Rinonos; sister of Ester and Alberto Aguilar. Also survived by many loving family and friends. Rosa was born on a ranch in Guanajuato, Mexico. She happily moved to the United States and has spent the past 40 years in the Silver Spring area. WILLIAM HENRY KAUPERT, JR.
1929-2016
Bill departed this life suddenly and unexpectedly on July 3, 2016. A resident of Silver Spring, Maryland since 1967, he was born on March 1, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois and was the eldest of three children. Beloved husband of Isobel Ruth Kaupert, loving father of Andrew Kaupert and Jennifer Johnsen, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, his children, grandchildren, and two sisters.
Bill graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Northwestern University, a Master’s degree in English Education from George Washington University, and joined the Peace Corps in 1962 serving in Colombia, South America where Ruth joined him and they were married. He was a Washington, D.C. Public School teacher for 35 years, and continued to work teaching at The Huntington Learning Center until his passing. Bill was a devoted and respected member of his church and community, great teacher, mentor and friend.
Committal service and interment will be held at the historic Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church and Rock Creek Cemetery, 201 Allison St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20011 on Friday July 29, 2016 at 1 p.m. Memorial service will be held at Christ Congregational Church, 9525 Colesville Rd., Silver Spring, MD 20901 on Saturday July 30, 2016 at 2 p.m. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is at peace and in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to Christ Congregational Church or St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
